Founder & CEO

Piyush has the travelling bug in him and has been to all seven continents. He has trekked to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, done the Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu and planned for his dip in the 5th of the five oceans. An avid photographer he loves candid pictures from his travels. In his spare time Piyush has been an Adjunct Professor at University of Cincinnati for 12 years.


James has made a career of insurance…intentionally. As the COO of Terrene, his mission is to make Terrene the de facto platform for business insights for risk evaluation.

He considers simplicity and integrity to be essential foundations for relationships, both professional and personal. With a passion for design – software, digital art, physical creations — he cycles through creative hobbies like most people change outfits, currently immersed in woodworking and resin casting.

VP, Client Relations

Kathy enjoys travelling, outside activities with her grandson and upcycling furniture or anything with paint. “If you don’t like it, you can always re-paint it”, she likes to say. Kathy has worked in insurance for the past 25 years and before that spent 11 years in the retail industry.

VP, Underwriting Analytics

Lacey was first drawn to the insurance industry while an auditor fresh out of college at KPMG. Since then, she has worked at Travelers, AIG, and Next Insurance. Lacey also loves coffee and owns a specialty roasting company in Shreveport, LA. She is a mother to two young boys and an avid gardener.

VP, Product Engineering

Chris is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and has worked in Insurance / Information Technology for more than 25 years. He is an avid golfer and sports fan. He enjoys woodworking, home remodeling projects, and restoring old furniture. Outside of Terrene Labs, his goal is to complete as many “honey-do” projects as possible to keep his wife happy which allows him to play as much golf as possible.

Head of Design & UX Architecture

Jon is a creative tinkerer at heart, he loves 3D printing in his spare time with his Prusa MK3s and loves to continually learn new things. As a lifelong learner he spends much of his time reading up on new design trends or the latest code developments. Jon is a trained graphic designer and has spent the last 10 years in the professional UX design & development space.

Product Manager

Aanchal has a strong acumen in business and technology with an MBA in Finance and MS in Information Systems alongside 3+ years of experience in the FinTech space. Believing in leadership through ownership, she has explored uncharted territories that helped her learn and grow professionally. She has also explored Australia solo and dived from the sky in South Africa. She likes to face her fears with leaps of faith. Her friends love her caring and humorous nature – and of course her widespread culinary skills.

Product Manager

Komal is an explorer and loves trying out new things. Apart from being an dilettante sketch artist, she is a hula hooper, kickboxer, flutist, and paragliding club pilot. She enjoys traveling and meeting new people. She is highly passionate about her work and knows how to be the best with the team. Fun fact about her: She loves curating toy airplanes and secretly wishes to fly them someday.

Principal Architect

Bob has always enjoyed competition and sports. In high school he played football and baseball and now enjoys coaching his three boys in their many sporting endeavors. He graduated from Miami University with a BS in Applied Sciences and has been working in the information technology field for over 25 years.

Software Engineer

Tim enjoys travelling and likes to see the world. He appreciates all things science fiction and likes reading Stephen King novels. He enjoys watching his young son grow up. Tim likes to tinker and is frequently taking things apart at his home that never get put back together.

Data Scientist

Rohit’s world is confined to relationships, psychology, philosophy, photography, fast automobiles. What he loves the most about his work is, the possibility to make dollars from data. He enjoys photography, especially capturing emotive imagery at family gatherings that encapsulates relationships. He is the only person among his friends who comes out of a casino without losing money, so not sure if he is very good or if his friends are just very bad.

Product Manager

Elizabeth loves to travel and hike to see all of nature’s beauty. One of her most memorable hikes was Angel Landing In Zion National Park; it was spectacular at the top. Another hobby is quilting, she has made several quilts and the most challenging project was a footstool. She is passionate about her work and seeing results which in turns makes a happy customer!

Senior Software Engineer

Russ has a degree in Accounting but found his true calling in Information Technology when he started in the Support Center at Great American in 1997. Throughout his career in information technology he has looked for ways to streamline and automate tasks so that he could get more done in less time. His hobbies are home automation and learning new programming languages. He enjoys sports, taking his youngest daughter to her individual volleyball trainings, anime and all things science fiction.

Software Engineer

Dylan is a sports fanatic, explorer, and lover of so-bad-it’s-good movies. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from West Virginia University, where he continues to be a football season ticket holder for the Mountaineers. Spending time in the wild and wonderful West Virginia instilled a love of hiking that continues to this day.
